Seth Daily

Newcastle Site Director

The Site Director is CIS Abroad's On-Site staff.  Their job is to support the CIS Abroad students throughout their on-site study abroad experience. They serve as a cultural liaison, organizing excursions, cultural activities, and providing invaluable guidance on everything from the local cuisine to navigating public transportation.  If students run into any issues while abroad - Seth is there to help provide resources and guidance.

Raised in a family that encouraged participation in every activity from baseball to marching band to martial arts (too many for healthy stress levels, in hindsight), Seth was enrolled in every school trip my parents could afford. That early exposure to overseas travel grew into a passion for new and different environments. After high school, Seth followed a path of studies that took him from Los Angeles, where he was raised, through Switzerland to learn French, and finally landed him in Australia, where he now resides with a degree in business and political science. His journey has taught him that besides creating lifetime friendships and unforgettable memories, travel to new cultures brings out our deepest empathies as we see the world from others’ point of view. When more people can have that experience, it’s a step towards making the world a better place.

Aubree Compton
Assistant Director of International Operations

The International Operations Director ensures that the study abroad program runs smoothly, overseeing on-site logistics, health and safety measures, and responding to emergencies.  Aubree works closely with Seth to ensure that the program is set up and ready for students.  Then, they work closely together when students are on-site to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible.  Aubree may work directly with students if they have special requests, they experience an emergency, or if they need additional accommodations when they are abroad.

Aubree comes from the cornfields of Iowa. After a life-changing semester abroad in San Sebastian, Spain, she realized that she wanted to dedicate her life and career to helping others have a transformative study abroad experience. She received her Masters in International Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, has taught English in Spain, Colombia and Mexico, and has traveled to over 17 countries. Aubree brings over a decade of experience working in study abroad roles. In her free time she likes to study languages, listen to Led Zeppelin, befriend animals and the elderly, and find any reason to laugh.
