Whale Watching
During the peak whale migration season (April - September), Newcastle offers a unique opportunity to observe these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The excursion will provide valuable insights into whale behaviors, migration patterns, and the importance of marine conservation. As a prime location on the "Humpback Highway," students can witness the annual journey of humpback whales and learn about their fascinating habits.
Blue Mountains

Local Life Activities
Beach Picnic
As the weather warms up, this becomes a favorite activity for locals. We will enjoy an afternoon at Newcastle Beach with some snacks. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards and swimming is allowed.
Surf Lesson
Kiwis love water sports. You’ll have the chance to go surfing and you may even continue throughout your semester in Australia!
